SSUN was born and raised in Shanghai but now a Toronto resident, SSUN gathers inspiration from her own experiences and cosmopolitan background to prove that there is more to her than meets the eye. Her mother being a singer and her father a piano teacher, SSUN, started her musical journey at the tender age of 3 with the freedom to develop her own vocal interest while learning how to play the piano. Having originally trained in classical music, she can seamlessly shift her tone from belting powerful ballads to singing smooth R&B tracks; SSUN’s vocal agility and presence are formidable and reminiscent of other global stars in the Pop and R&B genres.
